Indrio Savannas (Fort Pierce) Field Trip April 4, 2009
8:30 am to 11:00 am ....about 12 members
attended. Trip led by Dan Walma. Great weather....sunny and a
cool breeze. After birding the Indrio Savannas....where we
frequently encountered the
Florida Scrub Jay ( up close and
personal !! )..... we stopped by the Bald Eagle's nest just
south of Indrio Rd and saw an adult Bald Eagle perched next to
the nest that had two baby Bald Eagles in it. We had also seen
an immature Bald Eagle while in the Indrio Savannas Natural
Area.
