Indrio Savannas (Fort Pierce)  Field Trip    April 4, 2009

8:30 am to 11:00 am ....about 12 members attended. Trip led by Dan Walma. Great weather....sunny and a cool breeze. After birding the Indrio Savannas....where we frequently encountered the Florida Scrub Jay ( up close and personal !! )..... we stopped by the Bald Eagle's nest just south of Indrio Rd and saw an adult Bald Eagle perched next to the nest that had two baby Bald Eagles in it. We had also seen an immature Bald Eagle while in the Indrio Savannas Natural Area.
